Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome: (EDS) a group of inherited connective tissue disorders. Ranging from mild to life-threatening in severity, each individual mutation of the disorder is considered on of eleven distinctive Types.  Gold Award: The Girl Scout Gold Award is the highest award a Girl Scout can achieve in the Girl Scouts of the United States of America program (GSUSA). It is akin to the Boy Scout Eagle Award and consists of a sustainable service project that contributes solutions to a local or global issue.

Author of Site: Margaret Berry created this blog as part of her Gold Award Project. In addition to the blog, the author has created a brochure and presentation on EDS that includes resources for those who might be diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. In 2011 after a long struggle with finding useful information, Margaret was diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos and endeavors to provide readers with helpful tips and insights in dealing with a chronic 'invisible' medical condition.
